Roller Studio Casual Session

Welcome to our Roller Studio. These sessions are for you to come and practice your roller dance moves, learn a new choreo, connect with other skaters and have fun while building your skills. 💜✨

The sessions are held at our Roller Studio in South Brisbane at VENTspace. The surface is concrete, with some minor faults. It is not 100% polished. During your first session, make yourself familiar with the surface. Your protective gear is recommended, as always.

We know that sometimes practicing outside of class is hard, so we encourage you to try our Roller Studio sessions on Tuesdays to share and connect with other skaters and practice what you’ve learnt. Roller Studio is a space where you can practice your moves, learn new sequences and connect with other skaters. With music, good vibes and support from our team, you’ll reinforce what you learn, experiment and feel part of a beautiful community.

If you would like to hire skates for one of drop in sessions, please be sure to select the correct ticket and include your shoe size.

Roller Studio is not a rink, it's a small studio space designed for practicing roller dance moves, jam skills, slalom moves, or simply coming for a roll. It is held in an arts warehouse with a concrete floor surface. As the venue is shared with other community groups, there may be occasions when the entire floor is not fully accessible, and items such as chairs or tables may be present in different areas of the space. Our Roller Dance Australia volunteers will make every effort to ensure the floor is cleared and prepared prior to participant entry. If you notice any obstacles or conditions that may impact your ability to skate safely, please notify one of our volunteers immediately so the issue can be addressed as quickly as possible.

Upon arrival, it is each participant’s responsibility to assess the floor conditions and ensure they feel comfortable and confident before commencing skating.

Please sign our online waiver the first time you skate with us. This is an annual waiver, so you only need to sign it once in a twelve month period. You can find it here: www.rollerdanceaustralia.com.au/waiver Please do this prior to your first entry and bring it with you (on your phone or printed out) ready to show one of our volunteers.

All skating is done at your own risk, please be considerate of others. Safety is the new sexy, please wear your safety gear. 🥰
